My Story
A lifelong maker, through and through.
I'm a Maryland girl, born and raised — and proud of it. I grew up with a love of animals, especially dogs and horses. I spent many of my younger years in the saddle, and that sense of care, patience, and attention to detail that comes with horsemanship has stayed with me ever since.
My love of sewing started early. My mother bought me a Kenmore sewing machine back in the 1960s, and I've barely put down a needle and thread since. Over the decades I've made just about everything — but for the past 27 years, quilting has been my true calling. There's something about the combination of color, pattern, and craftsmanship in a quilt that never gets old.
These days I mostly make quilts, bags, and bookish accessories — things that are beautiful AND useful, built to last and made with real care. Silver Leaf Thread Work is my next chapter, and I pour everything I have into every single piece that leaves my studio.
